As part of our commitment to responsible travel and meaningful engagement, Nord Skies partners with Natersia and Paul’s Farm—a regenerative farming project in the Azores that champions sustainability, biodiversity, and community resilience. This collaboration is a core element of our study abroad program, offering students a unique opportunity to live and learn on a working eco-farm.
Students and faculty stay at the farm’s Bed & Breakfast, ensuring that their presence directly supports the local economy and the farm’s mission. During their stay, participants take part in hands-on activities such as organic gardening workshops, composting, and farm-to-table meals made with ingredients grown on-site. Reflection sessions and discussions on sustainable living and ecotourism deepen their understanding of the challenges and possibilities of rural development.
Through this partnership, Nord Skies helps empower local initiatives while giving students an immersive and impactful experience rooted in sustainability and cultural connection.
