Mexico

Monarch Butterfly Project

At Nord Skies, we believe in travel that gives back—to nature and to the people who protect it. Our educational trips to La Paz, Mexico are part of our ongoing efforts to support the conservation of Monarch butterflies and uplift the local communities connected to their habitat.

Through these journeys, students and guests not only witness the beauty of the Monarch migration but also engage with local conservationists, participate in habitat restoration, and learn about the delicate balance between environmental protection and community livelihood. By staying in locally run accommodations and collaborating with grassroots organizations, our programs channel meaningful support into the local economy.

These experiences allow travelers to play an active role in preserving one of nature’s most incredible migrations, while reinforcing the importance of community-led conservation efforts in La Paz and beyond.
