Uganda: Tsiyon Family Hospital Service Trip (2025)

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. You will be picked up by Elia and Gloria Musasizi at the airport and taken to Tsiyon Family Hospital (TFH) where you will take some time to relax and get settled in a private room located on the top floor of the hospital.  A light brunch will be served, and then you will take a tour of TFH, and meet the staff. Dinner will be served in early evening.

For those who wish, start the day by attending a service at Pastor Elia’s Resurrection Centre Church, experiencing the local faith community and uplifting worship. After the service, enjoy a shared lunch with church members, fostering deeper connections and cultural exchange.

In the evening, gather with Elia & Gloria for an important discussion on the procedures and protocols for receiving and treating patients at Tsiyon Family Hospital (TFH). This meeting will provide valuable insights into hospital operations and future healthcare initiatives, ensuring continued support for the community.

Spend your time making a meaningful impact by assisting at the Child, Infant & Family Free Health Clinic. Support TFH medical staff as they care for patients throughout the day, helping with check-ins and other essential tasks. Non-medical visitors will contribute by assisting with hospital activities and distributing donated supplies to those in need.

Wednesday afternoon: Travel to Kampala, where you’ll have the opportunity to exchange money and explore vibrant African craft markets, discovering locally made art, textiles, and souvenirs while immersing yourself in the city’s lively atmosphere.

Begin the day with an exciting departure for Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s most spectacular wildlife reserves. Along the way, stop at the Rhino Sanctuary, a vital conservation area dedicated to protecting and rehabilitating Uganda’s rhino population. Take a guided tour to observe these magnificent creatures up close while learning about ongoing conservation efforts.

After the visit, continue the journey to Murchison Falls, where breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife await. Settle into your accommodation and prepare for an unforgettable safari adventure in the coming days.

Spend the day exploring the vast wilderness of Murchison Falls National Park, home to an incredible variety of African wildlife. Journey through the park on a safari, spotting majestic elephants, towering giraffes, powerful lions, and herds of buffalo roaming freely across the savannah. Keep an eye out for diverse bird species, from colorful kingfishers to the iconic African fish eagle.

As the sun sets, begin the return journey to Tsiyon Family Hospital in Sayyi, reflecting on the unforgettable sights and experiences of Uganda’s stunning natural landscapes.
